Bob Deyo
Bob Deyo has made significant contributions to Lakeshore Productions, Inc. both on and off the stage. He stands out as a unique and integral member of the organization, being the only person who has been on stage in every production LPI has done. His involvement with the group began with their very first production, "The Wizard of Oz," where he played multiple roles including Professor Marvel, the singing guard of Emerald City, and the Great Oz. This marked the beginning of a journey filled with diverse and engaging performances.
In addition to his stage roles, Bob Deyo has been actively involved in the organizational aspects of LPI. He joined the Board of Directors in 1999, contributing to the decision-making and planning processes that have shaped the direction of the organization. His commitment extended to off-stage activities as well, such as preparing the spaghetti dinner for the final dress rehearsal each year since 2002.
Bob's involvement with LPI has not only been a testament to his passion for the performing arts but also his dedication to the community. His favorite LPI memory, humorously enough, involves rehearsing the tornado scene in "The Wizard of Oz" and having to evacuate due to a real tornado siren. Moments like these highlight the blend of dedication and joy he brings to his work with LPI.
His vision for the future of LPI includes the continued inclusion and celebration of actors of all ages, including those in their 90s, emphasizing the importance of community and inclusivity in the arts. Bob's journey with LPI and his broad range of contributions both on and off stage have made him a valuable and beloved member of the organization, recognized as Director Emeritus
